Description for Anchorage 7472
A 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo that sleeps 8 people (and a pet or 2), Anchorage 7472 offers you all the comfort, elegance, and ease that Hilton Head is known for. It’s one of only 88 units in Anchorage Villas, across the street from Palmetto Dunes Plantation and just a 2-minute walk to Shelter Cove Marina.

Anchorage 7472 looks out over one of the complex’s 2 shimmering lagoons and the well-manicured grounds studded with pine and palmetto trees. The complex includes a swimming pool that’s heated in autumn and spring and cooled to perfection during the heat of summer. When you’re not showing off your butterfly stroke you can luxuriate in the poolside hot tub and laze on one of the numerous chaises. The poolside patio also has a gas grill; if you reel in snappers or groupers while on a fishing charter, you can barbecue them right here.

As beautiful as the grounds of Anchorage Villa are, just wait till you step inside unit 7472. Located on the 3rd floor of a non-elevator building, the condo is sunny, spacious, and filled with unexpected luxuries, such as a wet bar by the living room and a private covered balcony. The cathedral ceiling of the living area adds to the open, breezy ambience. The leather sofa and the cushioned wicker armchairs invite you to kick back and watch a movie on the 50” flat-screen TV with cable and a Blu-ray player.

Placed alongside large windows that look onto towering trees, the dining table seats 4; another 3 people can sit at the gleaming granite breakfast bar. The bar also serves as additional kitchen counter space—and once you see how well equipped the kitchen is, you’re sure to be inspired to new culinary heights. Along with all the major appliances, the kitchen features plenty of minor ones, including a coffeemaker and a blender. You’ll find plenty of cookware and tableware too. And in addition to a dishwasher, there’s a washer and a dryer just off the kitchen.

All 3 bedrooms have their own TV, and there’s a full bathroom for each bedroom as well. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and loads of storage for all your toiletries. Down the hall is the 2nd bedroom, with a queen-size bed, and the 2nd bathroom. The 3rd bedroom, up in the loft, includes 2 twin beds, along with an easy chair and a window seat where you can escape for some me time. The 3rd bathroom is up here as well. Additional guests can sleep in the living area: The sofa opens into a bed for 2.

Anchorage 7472 has free WiFi. In addition we’ll provide all the towels you’ll need, the beds will be perfectly made up before you arrive, and extra bedding will be ready and waiting.

Sleep might be the last thing on your mind, however. There’s so much to do, and Anchorage 7472 is in the thick of it. Shelter Cove Harbor, home to the summer-long HarbourFest and numerous restaurants and shops year-round, is just a 10-minute walk from the condo. A free shuttle can take you to the beach from April to September, or you can drive there in a few minutes (a Palmetto Dunes pass is required for all vehicles, but it costs only $10 per vehicle a week). The Harbour Town Lighthouse, Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge, and the Hilton Head Distillery are among the attractions less than 20 minutes away. Even Savannah is less than an hour away.

When you stay at Anchorage 7472, the living is easy—and isn’t that what a vacation in Hilton Head is all about? So make your reservation today, and get ready for some well-deserved R&R.

Reviews for Anchorage 7472
We enjoyed staying at 7246 Anchorage over spring break. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and the size and bedrooms were perfect. Three full bathrooms with showers were a plus! Shelter Cove is a great place to stay if you like shopping, walking around a harbor, eating out, and taking tours. We took Captain Mark's dolphin tour and walked from the condo to the harbor in less than 5 minutes. Lots of bike paths and a wonderful pool/hot tub. The only drawback was driving across Wm Hilton Parkway to get to the beach. (Shelter Cove is on the waterway side). There were no empty spots to park so we ended up going to Folly Field beach and Coligny Beach to find parking.

We were very comfortable in this spacious condo. It was within a short walk to the marina at Shelter Cove. The bedrooms were comfortable and plenty of space for our family of 4. My youngest took the crows nest up the circular staircase and had her own bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped for us to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool was heated which was great because the weather was chilly at 57 degrees. We rented bikes and took the beachcombers cruise all from the marina. We all relaxed and enjoyed some good family time.

Fun condo - close to everything
This was a nice condo and was just as described. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops right in Shelter Cove Harbour. A great location and wonderful condo for the price.

Very nice condo
Unit was not ready at the promised time (still being cleaned). Pool was closed by the health department without explanation for over a day. Called the management company to find out what the problem was. Never got back to me. TV is on the wrong wall. Reflections from the very nice windows make it unwatchable most of the time. The bathroom exhaust fan is useless. It's on the second floor with no elevator. That was the bad. The good: I love this complex (The Anchorage at Shelter Cove). Pool is awesome. Grandkids loved it. Water was a bit warm but about mid-week they started pumping in cool water (or not heating it, whatever). Can walk to our favorite restaurant (San Miguel's), and to many attractions (took Captain Mark's Dolphin Cruise - highly recommend it; got a Groupon for $14 for adults). Can watch the fireworks every Tuesday evening from the parking lot right in front of the unit. Convenient to the beach (5 minutes to the Disney Beach House), shopping - Kroger, great shopping center, and dining - Guisseppi's pizza, Wayback Burger and Hickory Tavern are all right there and among our favorites.

The Rental Experience was Very Smooth.
I got the code and parking passes ahead and never needed to visit the rental office. The property was very roomy. We were two adult couples and there was plenty of room and furnishings to have a very comfortable time. The basics were very clean and the general condition of the furnishings and bedding were also very clean. The upstairs would be an excellent area for children above infant level. Since the only access is a spiral staircase, it could be a problem for little children not used to navigating one. Also, it makes bringing larger infant related stuff up there. Although the unit has 3 bedrooms, it has one parking spot. The week I was there was a busy week so I often had to park the second car a good distance from the unit. I never needed customer service so that is excellent in its absence of need.
