Description for Bear Country Cabin Bear Country Cabin combines the peace and privacy of a secluded mountain hideaway with the convenience of being just minutes from restaurants, shops, and attractions. What’s more, the 2-bedroom log cabin looks as delightfully rustic as the woodlands surrounding it, yet its sophisticated amenities include an outdoor hot tub, an indoor jet tub, free WiFi, and satellite TV.

When you’re surrounded by lush old-growth trees harboring choirs of songbirds, you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Bear Country Cabin makes that easy. Its deck, which wraps across the front of the cabin and down one side, is furnished with chairs and a bistro table so that you can relish the sights and sounds of mountain living anytime you want. You can enjoy your meals outdoors too, at the picnic table to the side of the cabin—and cook them alfresco, on the charcoal grill.

Perhaps the best spot to soak up the sunshine, the crisp breeze, and the sight of eagles and falcons soaring overhead is while taking a literal soak—in the deck’s hot tub. And luxuriating among the steamy bubbles is even more magical at night, under a twinkling canopy of stars, the hoots of the owls punctuating the harmonizing of the crickets.

The interior of Bear Country Cabin offers its own charms. Large windows bring the vistas indoors, and the sunlight shows off the rich grain of the wood floors, walls, and vaulted ceiling to perfection. The plush sofas invite you to stretch out with a good book or to cozy up with the family as you watch a movie on the 37” HDTV with DVD player and satellite channels. In winter you’ll want to pull the wingback chair close to the gas fireplace as you unwind with a book.

Among the many benefits of vacationing in a cabin rather than a hotel is being able to cook your own meals and enjoy them in privacy. Bear Country Cabin’s kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you’d expect in any home, with a breakfast bar that provides plenty of counter space (and a place for sous chefs to sit while helping you prepare a meal). If you have K-cups, bring them: The kitchen has a Keurig brewing system. There’s a dishwasher too, because who wants to scrub plates while on vacation? If you prefer to eat indoors rather than at the outdoor picnic table, you can make yourselves comfortable at the dining table, which seats 6.

After dinner, head upstairs to the loft’s game room for an unexpected treat: foosball! Just don’t let the spectacular views from the expansive windows put you off your game!

One of Bear Country Cabin’s 2 en-suite bedrooms is on the loft level as well. Both this bedroom and the one on the main floor have king-size beds, full bathrooms, and cozy rustic furnishings that transform the spaces into cocooning retreats. The upstairs bedroom does have the advantage of a jetted tub in the room, however. A long soak will help keep your muscles from stiffening up after a day on the slopes, the links, or the hiking trail—and might put you in the mood for romance too! If you have additional guests, don’t worry: One of the living room’s sofas opens into a bed for 2, so that up to 6 people can spend the night.

Bear Country Cabin’s prime location means you can drive to downtown Gatlinburg in about 10 minutes. There you’ll find restaurants, an aquarium, mini golf, and a host of other attractions. Just slightly farther afield are Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, Wild Bear Falls Water Park, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its waterfalls, wildflowers, and wildlife. Even Dollywood and the other attractions of Pigeon Forge are just a half-hour away.

Regardless of how you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the comfort and quiet of Bear Country Cabin at night. Experience it for yourself; book your stay today!

Guest Rating for Bear Country Cabin
Secluded and quiet
Loved the cabin and location. After a busy day of sightseeing and shopping, it was nice to go "home" to relax. We travel with two small dogs, so the cabin was perfect for both us and them. Although the hot tub was out of service on our rental dates, the large jetted tub was great.
Bear Country Vacation
Cabin was beautiful & very clean! Inspection rep very friendly & most helpful recommending pet-friendly restaurants, etc. Reminders re 10AM check out time unnecessarily frequent. Recommend adding door to upstairs bedroom for privacy.  Otherwise, enjoyed everything about it!
Absoluletly Wonderful
Perfect location everything was amazing felt right at home. Secluded and private. Was clean and cozy. My family can’t wait to come back we are already planning our next trip.
Beautiful and relaxing!
This cabin is fabulous! The views are breath taking and the seclusion of the cabin itself leaves you feeling like you are alone on the mountain! However, the convenience of it location puts you only 5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg! There is so much to do and you can be in the excitement of the city and then retire in the silence of the woods. We loved every minute of it!!!
Cozy cabin-pet friendly
We really loved this cozy cabin. We were very thankful that we could take our dog. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The cabin was clean except for a few things. The WINDOWS AND SILLS WERE FILTHY! When we tried to open them for some fresh air, the sill was covered with a bunch of dead bugs and spider webs. The top window also slid down when we opened the bottom pane, so one person had to hold the top pane up while the other person closed and locked the bottom window. The fireplace mantle, the knick-knacks and the ceilings were PRETTY DUSTY and needed a good cleaning. The toilet bowls needed to be cleaned with bleach. There was a wad of chewed gum on the hot tub controls, and a nut shell and some type of pill under the upstairs bed. Luckily my daughter found it before my dog did. The bedrooms were nice; however the upstairs loft bedroom didn't have a door and the sound from the living room traveled up (especially from the tv).  Keep in mind when you book this place; there are huge maintenance/cleaning fees added on when you fill out your CC payment info! It will end up costing you a few hundred dollars more!
It was ok. Was a very nice place to stay.
We loved the cabin not perfect but enjoyed the cabin. Needs some up dates but great price and perfect location!!
Lovely secludid cabin! Awesome hot tub!
We had a lovely few days in the cabin, secluded enough to feel close to nature but close enough to get to the national park and other attractions. Only thing i would have wanted to know beforehand is that when they say they offer few items in the kitchen and bathroom they mean it! There’s soap and toilet paper but not much else, so definitely pack your coffee filters, seasonings, shampoo, and a kitchen sponge to bring with you! We had made a grocery run before going to the cabin but every other VRBO or AirBNB that we had used before had some basics there, so we had to make a second run the next day. Not a huge deal at all but a heads up would have been appreciated, particularly bc they were so communicative about everything else. Would definitely return!

Great vacation rental!
The cabin was very comfortable, very clean and cutely decorated! It had everything we needed and we loved the hot tub after hiking. Not that it was too much of a problem but the bedroom on the 2nd floor does not have door and there is some visibility of the upstairs jetted tub ( which was very nice ) from a very small part of the downstairs. A door would make this cabin absolutely perfect!!!!
Great location perfectly fit our needs
Secluded, quiet, comfortable, everything you need except condiments which were not expected. Economical and clean. Two king beds and two bathrooms are extremely hard to find in most cabins. Back car within a few feet of one step up to deck entrance. Had one large black furry night time visitor, five wild turkeys walked by during lunch. No bed bugs! If in area for another visit and available I would stay here again.
Private!
Such a quiet spot away from tourists. Plenty of room to relax and rejuvenate from the day to day.
Bear country cabin
Great view of the mountains. Cozy little cabin. Massive jacuzzi bathtub in 2nd level bedroom room. Paved roads to get to cabin. Simple check-in and check-out. But the 1st story bedroom didn’t have a TV for the guests.
We loved it as soon as we walked in. Just the feeling we were going for.
We loved it so much we want to make it an annual trip. Enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub immensely. The only thing we missed were our recliners to put our feet up after walking around all day. The location of the cabin was great. We were up in the mountain but close to all the activities. Definitely will come again!
Have used JMH before and have always been pleased with your attention to details.
Excellent, thanks for a wonderful time in a beautiful cabin.
Our cabin was very clean and was absolutely beautiful. Loved every minute of our stay!
Cabin was wonderful, but a flashlight would be useful for the evenings.
The cabin Country Bear was absolutely beautiful, immaculate, clean, tidy, fully stocked, beautifully decorated, beautifully crafted. Amazing view smack in the middle of the woods.
We had such a great trip!!! We loved the cabin it was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It was wonderfully decorated and we planning another trip and renting that cabin again!

Good place to stay - Clean and comfortable - Thank you!
The cabin was amazing and my family had a great time.
Great other than the cobwebs in the cabin and the awful toilet paper!
It was lovely and I will come back with the family again.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Very nice cabin with nice view of mountains!
Everything was as expected! The kids had a blast and my mom did too.
This was a very good experience with checking in to checking out. Very quick and easy! !
We had a wonderful time in the Smokies! The cabin was beautiful and in a fantastic spot! We did have some issues with the upstairs shower leaking through the ceiling into the kitchen, but other than that, our stay was excellent!
Great trouble free experience. We had issues with Wifi Internet upon arrival. However, we contacted JMH. The issue was quickly resolved (and while we were out of the cabin).
Loved everything about our stay. Out cabin was clean with an incredible view.
The cabin was great and very clean, and everyone I spoke with was very nice. Would stay with you all any time.
Cabin was excellent. This is our 3rd or fourth time staying in a Jackson Mtn Homes cabin and have always been pleased.
