Description for Bearfoot Hideaway
Surrounded by thick swaths of trees, Bearfoot Hideaway really does feel hidden away from the everyday hustle and bustle. You can soak in the outdoor hot tub, enjoy a family barbecue, sip drinks on the porch swing, and play Frisbee in the backyard in peace and privacy. Yet the three-bedroom, three and a half bathroom home is only minutes from downtown Gatlinburg—and it’s pet-friendly too!

Making up most of the main floor, Bearfoot Hideaway’s great room has everything you want in a cabin: wood-planked walls and floors, a stone-surround fireplace, comfortable and handsome furnishings. Whether you’re watching a movie on the flat-screen TV with satellite channels, surfing the web via the free WiFi, playing a game with kids, or stretching out for a nap, you’ll feel wonderfully at home.

A second welcoming space is the downstairs game room. You’ll find another flat-screen TV, this one with a Blu-ray player, down here, but the main attraction is the pool table that can convert to a ping-pong table, with the air-hockey table a close second. If a day on the go has you too tired even to shoot pool, grab one of the board games from the well-stocked bookcase instead.

Bearfoot Hideaway’s marvelous location means it’s just minutes from dozens of restaurants. But you have dining options right at the cabin too. The great room’s dining table seats 8, and the open and airy kitchen is outfitted with a full array of stainless-steel appliances, cookware, and tableware. Or you can cook your meal on the covered patio’s charcoal grill and eat it at the picnic table. The crisp mountain breeze is the secret ingredient that makes even the simplest meal seem like a feast.

After your meal, you can toss around a football in Bearfoot Hideaway’s roomy backyard. Or perhaps you’d rather head to the huge deck, which spans the width of the cabin before wrapping around one side. The deck is furnished with a porch swing plus plenty of rockers so that everyone can kick back and listen to warblers during the day and whip-poor-wills at night. Ceiling fans keep you cool no matter how high the temperatures climb. An even better spot for relishing the sights and sounds is the deck’s hot tub. A long soak is just the remedy for tired muscles after a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring every inch of Dollywood.

Bearfoot Hideaway has two master suites, one on each floor. Each of these rooms includes a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, and a ceiling fan to help lull you to sleep. (Of course, there’s also central air-conditioning for really hot nights.) The third bedroom, located downstairs, has twin-over-full bunk beds so that it can sleep three people. This room boasts a PlayStation 3, making it the perfect kids’ hangout. Any additional guests can sleep in the great room; the sofa opens into a queen-size bed.

As well as three bedrooms, Bearfoot Hideaway has three full bathrooms, plus a convenient half-bath. Also convenient is the cabin’s washer and dryer—and its location. Bearfoot Hideaway is less than ten minutes from the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an eight-mile trail of galleries, shops, and studios. A few minutes further is downtown Gatlinburg, home to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, shops, distilleries, arcades, mini golf, and a tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area. And in only twenty minutes you can drive from the cabin to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a true must-visit. (If you visit in winter, vehicles with four-wheel drive or tire chains are strongly advised.)

No matter how you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the quiet and comfort of Bearfoot Hideaway afterward. Or perhaps you won’t even leave the cabin; there’s more than enough to enjoy right there. See for yourself; book your stay today.

nice vacation
Nice cabin. Not too far from all the attractions. Would have liked a fire pit so we could make some s'mores with the kids but overall, very well equipped for family of 5. We all loved the hot tub and the kids are on their way to becoming pool sharks. I enjoyed hanging on the balcony just listening to the silence. The road to the cabin is a little nerve racking but it isn't exactly a major highway with a ton of traffic.

Loved the cabin, met all of our needs. Small problem with lock, but fixed the next morning.
