Description for Damron's Dream
No, you’re not dreaming: Damron’s Dream really is as idyllic as it appears. The recently rebuilt lodge, which sleeps sixteen people—and a pet or two as well—offers spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains from its three decks. At the same time, it’s just five minutes from the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg.

Damron’s Dreams has five bedrooms, each of which has its own full bathroom for maximum convenience. The two suites on the top floor, the suite on the main floor, and one of the two downstairs suites each have a lofty king-size bed, a 50” HDTV with premium cable, and perhaps most pampering of all, a Jacuzzi. After a day of hiking, biking, or skiing, a long, lazy soak will feel so luxurious! The fifth bedroom has a queen over queen bunk bed and its own 50” HDTV.

Speaking of the main floor’s great room, it really is great. Large windows and doors opening onto the deck let in plenty of sunshine. In winter the corner fireplace makes the room even more delightful. There’s plenty of room to sprawl out on the leather couches to watch a movie on the 50” HDTV, or you can curl up in the armchair with your tablet and take advantage of the free WiFi.

The dining area seats sixteen people. The table easily accommodates twelve, in impressively comfortable chairs. Another six people can sidle up to the adjacent breakfast bar; the kids will especially love eating there “on their own” while the grown-ups dine at the table. The breakfast bar doubles as additional kitchen counter and storage space. The kitchen itself is fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, a full accouterment of cookware, and plenty of tableware. In addition, Damron’s Dream has an outdoor grill, so you can barbecue trout you reeled in yourself from a nearby stream—or veggies you bought from a nearby grocery store.

The great room isn’t the only area of Damron’s Dream where everyone can hang out together. Upstairs, between the top floor’s two bedrooms, is a spacious game room. When you’re not shooting pool at the handsome full-size table, you can play one of the arcade’s twenty games. There’s also a table tailor-made for playing cards or a board game. Or you can stretch out on the leather couch to watch TV or indulge in a well-deserved nap.

The lower level has an attraction of its own: a media room with a large flat-screen TV and an especially sumptuous leather couch. So comfortable is the seating, you may want to kick back in there even when you’re not watching a movie or the big game. The media room also has a wet bar complete with mini fridge and popcorn maker. If you run out of snacks during your double feature, you won’t have to head upstairs to the kitchen.

Spanning the width of Damron’s Dream, the three decks are furnished with numerous rockers so that everyone can savor the sight of falcons soaring over the Smoky Mountains, the singing of wrens and warblers, and the crisp breeze. The lower deck has an especially wonderful spot for soaking up the surrounding beauty: a roomy hot tub.

Damron’s Dream is exceptional in and of itself. Add to the lodge’s amenities its proximity to the area’s attractions, and it’s truly spectacular. Downtown Gatlinburg is just a five-minute drive away; in no more than ten minutes you can arrive at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and the Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts Community.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find another Smoky Mountain cabin with as much luxuries, such stunning views, and as conveniently located as Damron’s Dream—let alone one that’s pet-friendly and can sleep sixteen people. So what are you waiting for? Book your stay today… before someone else beats you to it!

Reviews for Damron's Dream
A Beautiful Home with Amazing View
We really enjoyed our stay in this house. There was plenty of room for our family. There was construction nearby, but not a big deal! Everything was fresh and new in the house. They supplied necessities: 4 packets of dish detergent, roll of paper towels, toilet paper for each bathroom. A few things you may want to pack: hair dryer, oven mittens, soap/shampoo.

Really enjoyed the accommodations
Cabin was great and had plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was very well stocked with a vast array of cooking needs. Location was just right for us

Amazing cabin!
Amazing cabin. Great views and awesome location. It was also clean. My family and I had a great weekend. We’d stay here again.

Clean and the cabin was stocked with more than enough supplies for a 7 day stay.
The views were spectacular. There was plenty of activities for all age groups. The cabin is arranged so as that people are not tripping over each other. The puzzles was just that extra pazzaz! The art work and photos makes for interesting conversations.  The cabin was well stocked with towels, soap and paper products. The convenience of Food City was very nice and reasonably affordable.  We Loved to sit on balconies about 5/6 pm to catch a glimpse at the BEAR!! It was watching National Geographic. The kids loved it.  The only thing I could recommend is a community pool, that's the only thing that was missing. I'll be back again.
