Description for Grin and Bear It
Don't choose whether to stay closer to downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, Grin and Bear It is equidistant to the best of both towns. Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster are just a few of the many attractions and only a 15-minute drive from the 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin.

Convenient though the location is, that’s not the only reason to choose Grin and Bear It as your Smoky Mountain home away from home. The log cabin has both a large covered deck and a patio where you can kick back amid the woodland setting. Pop a squat on the rockers, of course—it wouldn’t be a mountain cabin without them—and because the covered deck has ceiling fans, you can listen to songbirds among the sun-dappled trees even in the heat of summer. Likewise, because the patio has an outdoor stove, you can marvel at the starry sky even on chilly autumn nights. The best way to soak up the scenery, though, is probably while soaking in the deck’s hot tub, especially after a day of hiking or biking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is only 20 minutes away.

There’s plenty to enjoy inside Grin and Bear It as well. The great room, which makes up most of the main floor, is a haven of lustrous wood-planked walls and floors and comfortable seating. Stretch out on the leather sofa and watch TV, nestled in the armchair beside the fireplace with a good book, sit in the glider and surf the web via the free WiFi: In short, make yourself at home.

In addition to being close to numerous attractions, Grin and Bear It is near a cornucopia of restaurants, serving everything from Southern staples to pizza. Sometimes, though, it’s simpler (and cheaper) to eat in. That’s why the cabin’s kitchen is equipped with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware. And if you do eat your meals out, you’ll nonetheless love the convenience of having a refrigerator to keep milk and beer cold, a coffeemaker for brewing up a cup whenever you like, and a blender for mixing smoothies in the morning and margaritas at night. There’s also a charcoal grill outdoors—perfect for cooking up any trout or bass you reel in from a nearby stream. The great room’s dining table easily seats 6 people, by the way, and 2 more can belly up to the adjacent breakfast bar.

You don’t have to head to town for after-dinner entertainment; simply walk upstairs to the loft’s game room instead. When you’re not shooting pool at the full-size billiards table, have a go at the multigame arcade or sit down to play rummy or Scrabble at the game table. Just off the game room is a 2nd living room. Like the great room, it features a large flat-panel TV and luxe leather seating.

Each of the 2 bedrooms has its own TV as well—you won’t have any arguments about what to watch while you’re here! The master suite includes a king-size bed, while the 2nd bedroom has a queen, making Grin and Bear It as well suited for 2 couples as it is for a family. The master bedroom opens directly onto the deck, so you and your sweetheart can enjoy a nightcap in the moonlight before snuggling into bed. The master has a private bathroom as well.

In addition to the main floor’s 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Grin and Bear It has a full-size bed and queen-size bunk beds in the loft. The kids will clamor to sleep up there; every night will seem like a slumber party. All told, the cabin sleeps 10 people—and a pet or 2 as well. Other conveniences include a washer and a dryer, plus a level parking lot with room for several vehicles.

Convenience, comfort, and amenities galore: Grin and Bear It has it all. Book your stay today, and get ready to make the most of your Smoky Mountain vacation.

Reviews for Grin and Bear It
We stayed here for just a couple of days on a weekend. The cabin is beautiful and was very clean. I liked the close proximity to town but it was still secluded. The only downside is the road leading up to it. It is very steep and you have to be careful maneuvering after dark, but the cabin is worth It once you get there lol! We did not cook while there, but the kitchen seemed well equipped. Furniture was nice and clean. Bathrooms were nice and clean. We very much enjoyed it and wished we could have had just a day to hang around the cabin more.
