Description for Ibis at the Beach
Swimming, sunshine, and sea breezes: You can relish them all—and much more besides—at Ibis at the Beach. Located alongside a canal, the 3-bedroom, pet-friendly home has its own dock and heated swimming pool, as well as a spacious and beautifully furnished screened-in porch. What’s more, it’s less than a 10-minute walk to the white-sand beach and the turquoise Gulf of Mexico.

As you pull up to Ibis at the Beach the first thing, you’ll notice is a porch, screened in to keep buzzing pests out, with a patio table and chairs. This is a lovely spot to start your day with breakfast while looking out onto the lush shrubs and palm trees. There’s a ceiling fan so that you can relax out here even during the hottest days of summer.

This is not Ibis at the Beach’s only porch, however. Spanning the width of the home is a huge screened-in living/dining area. Furnished with a well-cushioned sectional and a dining table that seats 6 with room to spare, this space serves as a 2nd great room (there’s an “official” one inside). Not only do you have a view of the lush landscaping, but there are also leafy plants right in here, adding to the luxe yet laid-back ambience.

The pool area is screened-in as well. Splash about with the kids during the day—or watch them splash about while you laze on a poolside chaise. Then, once they’re tucked into bed for the night, savor a peaceful swim in the moonlight.

Outside the screened-in area is a patio with its own table and chairs, along with a gas grill. If you reel in trout or grouper while surf-fishing or on a charter boat, you can cook it here; the salty breeze is the ideal finishing touch. The yard and patio area, by the way, is fenced in—convenient if you’re bringing your dogs along. Also outside is the private dock, alongside the canal that flows to the bay. You can launch a boat from here, fish, or simply kick back in one of the Adirondack chairs with a frosty drink and watch for dolphins and even manatees playing among the boats sailing by.

The interior of Ibis at the Beach is just as lovely as its alfresco areas. Beneath the lustrous wood-planked and beamed ceiling the living area boasts a pair of leather sofas and additional seating so that everyone can gather to watch a movie on the HDTV with cable or play charades. Like the rest of the house, the great room offers free WiFi. The dining table, which looks out onto the patio, seats 6 with ease. Between this dining area, the screened-in porch, and the patio, you might want to eat all your meals at the house rather than head to the nearby restaurants, even though some are just a walk away. Fortunately Ibis at the Beach’s kitchen can handle just about any recipes you want to whip up. Outfitted with gleaming stainless-steel appliances and bright white cabinets, the kitchen makes cooking a pleasure.

The 3 bedrooms are furnished to the same stellar standard as the rest of house. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed, while the 2nd bedroom features a queen. Both rooms include a flat-screen TV and generous storage. With a pair of twin-over-full bunk beds, the 3rd bedroom makes a fabulous kids’ clubhouse; as many as 6 can sleep in here.

Sleep might be the last thing you’ll be thinking about, however: The beach and the gulf are just a stroll away, as are a number of eateries and shops. In just 5 minutes you can drive to Lovers Key State Park and hike, bike, or kayak among mangroves, marsh rabbits, and manatees. A few miles north of Ibis at the Beach is Times Square, abuzz with restaurants, bars, and street entertainers.

Ibis at the Beach lets you enjoy Gulf Coast living at its finest. The 1-week minimum stay will seem to fly by. Don’t miss out; book your reservation today. Town of Fort Myers Beach Short Term Rental Registration Number 19-0698

Reviews for Ibis at the Beach
Great spot on the water. Walk to many places.
Really great rental. Walk to the beach in minutes and stroll, run, or bike for miles in either direction. Fantastic shelling on the beach including many sand dollars. Several excellent restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. The house has nice amenities and outstanding outdoor space. The kitchen is well equipped if you like to cook, or even just to heat up your leftovers. There is a washer & dryer, a dishwasher, and everything you need to be happy. There are comfortable lounging and dining areas inside and out. I am not a sun person but my wife loves it and We were both very happy. I could be outside in the shade reading several feet away from her in the full on sun! The house is clean and is great for hanging out and to use as your home base on the island. You are right on the water. We hung out, fished, and were mesmerized by the ospreys, herons, and egrets. It is so nice to park your car and get around on foot and by bicycle to everything you need. This is the quieter end of the island and it is peaceful yet near enough to everything to enjoy everything Fort Myers Beach has to offer. We had two different circumstances that required assistance above and beyond our rental agreement and the owners were very understanding, kind , and helpful. If you are looking for a great spot for your family, friends, and even your dog, reserve Ibis on the Beach! You will not be sorry!

great house at a great location
My wife, two college age daughters, two small dogs and I stayed at this house for 8 nights. House was very comfortable. Adequate interior space and lots of outdoors areas. We really like being able to play in the pool, sit on the dock, cook on the grill and sit in the large screened in area. Very clean with lots of items like beach chairs and umbrellas to use. Pool had a light, but we could not figure out how to turn it on. A pool light would have made the pool area much more usable in the evening. This was our first time to Fort Myers Beach. We learned that the north end of the island is packed with cars and people. The location of this house is at the south end. Much more quite. We preferred the south end in general. Trips to the north end could take 25 minutes to go 5 miles. We did that sparingly. Salty Crab and Heidi's Island Bistro were our favorites. This house is walking distance from Pinchers which is on the beach. Great white sand beach and really nice and comfortable restaurant/bar. We also drove to the dog beach which is about 10 south in the Lovers Key area. That was fun for all, especially the dogs. I would definitely consider renting this house again.

Perfect location!
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living space of this rental. The only recommendations we would have is that they could furnish more towels. There was one per person so had to laundry often. Also they could stand to update the pots and pans. They were in pretty rough shape. Still we loved it and would rent again if and when we come back to the area

Wonderful week
We had our family vacation at this property in July, 2018. Our family enjoyed the comfort, cleanliness and proximity to the beach. We also had the convenience of a nearby Publix and CVS which was wonderful. I would recommend this property. Thank you for this great opportunity.

Love love love
We LOVED our vacation at this wonderful home! It was very clean and comfortable. We came with our family of 5 and 2 schnauzers.  There is a fenced yard, and our pups were secure in their fencing. The neighborhood is very safe and people are very friendly.  This house is amazing. The beds are comfortable and clean. The house is roomy. There was EVERYTHING we wanted. We didn't have to buy anything. The kitchen is stocked well. We cooked a coupl of times and everything we needed was available.  There is a washer and dryer, which was very wonderful because of wet clothing. Only thing was we couldn't find a dust pan, but there was a vacuum.  There are games for those rainy days. The TV in the living room rocked! There were so many movie options and choices.  All of the furnishings were gorgeous and comfortable. You could eat on the porch or in the awesome dining room that had windows so you could enjoy the outdoor views.  We called the management company on arrival just to notify them of broken dryer knob, and they sent someone right over to fix that.  The outdoor area is WONDERFUL! Just like an oasis. The pool was great. The outdoor furniture was great. We were able to fish off the dock and caught lots of snapper and even a sting ray. We swam, ate meals on the porch, enjoyed rainy days under the porch, played scrabble on the table in the porch. Just wonderful.  It's very convenient to shops and restaurants. It took us about 5 mins to get to the beach access.  I would definitely stay here again. I am hoping if we come back next year that it will be available.  If they ever sold this place, I'd take it! ? I didn't want to leave. This is definitely my favorite vacation home by far. The teens even loved it!
