Description for Rivers Edge
Built right on the banks of Little Pigeon River, Rivers Edge is where you want to be in the Great Smoky Mountains. The river is stocked with trout so fishing is wonderful. Imagine the serenity of sitting on the large deck listening to the sound of the river and the songbirds in the woods all around. This is a vacation as it was meant to be. Best of all, your dog is welcome too!

Even those with physical challenges will be able to navigate Rivers Edge. There’s a ramp making it easy to enter the home. Doorways are wide and there are two master suites on the main floor with easy-to-access bathrooms.

Rivers Edge is a three-bathroom, three-bedroom, air-conditioned home that can accommodate up to eight friends or family when the sofa sleeper is used as a bed for two. When you walk into the great room, the wall of picture windows looking out on the woods and river will wow you. Glorious natural light flows in through these windows showcasing the glowing hand-rubbed pine walls of Rivers Edge. You’ll find plenty of comfortable furniture in this room, all perfectly arranged to give a great view of the stone, wood-burning fireplace and the large satellite TV next to it. You also have access to HBO and other movie channels along with a DVD and free Wi-Fi.

Through French doors, you’ll reach your deck where you’ll find a table and chairs along with a bubbly hot tub and a charcoal grill. You’ll no doubt spend many an hour enjoying the river and nature from this deck. After a day of horseback riding, golf, or hiking in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, this hot tub will be just what the doctor ordered.

If you’re dining at Rivers Edge, you may want to bring your meal out to the deck. Everything seems to taste its best in the mountain air.

You have a fully outfitted kitchen waiting for you at Rivers Edge. There’s plenty of prep space on the island and you’ll find all the pots, pans, appliances, gadgets, and utensils you need to prepare your favorite recipes. If you’re not dining out on the deck, you can seat guests around your dining room table for six. If additional seats are needed, you can set four more places up at the breakfast bar.

Within Rivers Edge you have your own laundry room with a washer and dryer. Having access to these appliances makes keeping everyone in clean clothes so much easier. It sure beats running to a Laundromat!

No matter what the season, you’ll find plenty to do in and around Rivers Edge. Dollywood is a short drive away. You can also ride the zip lines and gondola in Gatlinburg. Hiking paths in Great Smoky Mountain National Park take you beside waterfalls and breathtaking vistas. Be sure to bring your camera! If you are planning to visit in winter, it’s wise to come in a four-wheel-drive vehicle, or at least have chains for your car. Winter roads can be icy and snow-packed in the colder months.

Whatever you do during the day, when night falls, you’ll be more than ready to slip off to your bedroom for a good night’s sleep.

The two master bedrooms on the main floor have king-sized beds and French-door access to the deck in case you want to slip out to enjoy the river sounds at night. Each of these rooms features a dresser, nightstands with reading lamps, and a personal TV. Both main-floor bedrooms also have Jacuzzi tubs along with a private bathroom for each.

Upstairs at Rivers Edge is the third bedroom suite. This lovely secluded space has a wall of windows on the forest, a queen-sized bed, dresser with a TV on top, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Bring your friends or family to Rivers Edge once and you’ll want to return year after year. It is that special. Make today the day you reserve your preferred dates at the cabin and start planning how you’ll make memories in this lovely home.

Reviews for Rivers Edge
Very nice home!
Very nice home. Very spacious. Place is near a few other homes but not a cookie cutter cabin in a bunch of cabins like others we saw there. It had the perfect atmosphere. Large window with view of river was beautiful! Enjoyed our stay!

Great!
Loved the area and house. Only downfall was floors could of been cleaner. I swept them myself with the broom.

Great Cabin in a great location
Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The Little Pigeon River is literally right off the deck. You can sit in the hot tub and enjoy the water sounds, birds and lightening bugs. It says there is parking for 4 vehicles but it would be a very tight squeeze unless they are small cars. You really need access to a blower for the outside porches, driveway and deck due to leaves and debris blown on it.  The cabin itself was very spacious and was really enjoyable for our stay. It had plenty of pots for cooking and a coffee pot. You will need more towels and wash cloths than what is left for you to use, even with using the washer and dryer daily. All dishes must be washed upon checking out and a kitchen wash rag (dish towel provided) would’ve been great to have also. The floors needed mopping upon arrival and there was no vacuum for daily cleaning. A broom is provided but does not do the job. I totally understand it’s vacation but you do not want to have nasty floors for the entire stay. Could’ve used a little dusting and cob web cleaning inside and out. The water pressure in the jacuzzi tub is terrible but the showers are very refreshing after a long day.  Jackson Mountain Homes was awesome in the reservation process and also with checking in. They provide an app for all info cabin related, so it’s easy to access all cabin information. I would definitely book through them again and would be thrilled to stay in Rivers Edge anytime ?

Perfect!
Very clean and beautifullly decorated. Close to all attractions, yet away from it all and peaceful. Will definitely miss the hot tub on deck and the gorgeous rapids running in our backyard. House had every amenity we could need. All kids and grandparents had an amazing week and would rent this house again in a heartbeat.
