Description for Starfish Cottage
Spend your vacation in a charming vintage cottage tucked away in Gulfport, between St Pete’s Beach and St Petersburg. Even your small pet is welcome, and there’s a big fenced backyard where your dog can play. Starfish Cottage is ideally situated within easy walking distance of Gulfport Waterfront Arts District, restaurants, shops, and Bay Front Beach and Marina. It’s the perfect getaway for a small family or four friends. A month’s stay is required, but with all there is to do and see around the area, you’ll need every one of those days to take in everything.

When you pull up to Starfish Cottage, you’ll find plenty of parking out front. The living room features gleaming wood floors, arched doorways, and a cozy atmosphere that will make you feel at home right away. Your living room includes a comfy couch and large armchair both positioned to give a good view of the flat-screen TV. You also have a DVD player within Starfish Cottage so you can plan a movie night, pop some popcorn, and settle in to watch one of your favorite movies. You can also stay in touch with friends using the free Wi-Fi that’s available within Starfish Cottage.

One of the places you’ll love most in Starfish Cottage is the covered patio out back. Amid a lush lawn and shade trees sets a table for four. After you’ve visited the beach, gone out on a fishing charter, or rented a kayak and paddled around the bay, it’s fun to sit out on this patio, enjoy a cold beverage, and recount your day’s adventures. This patio is also a great place to gather your guests for dinner. Everything seems to taste even better in the fresh outdoor air.

You don’t need to cook at all during your time at Starfish Cottage unless you want to use your culinary skills. There are so many excellent restaurants in town that you could dine out every night. But, if you want to eat in, you’ll find a kitchen that is outfitted with what you need to prepare and serve your group. Just stop off at a nearby grocery and pick up ingredients.

You can dine out back on the covered patio or, if you prefer, there’s a small table and chairs in the kitchen where you can gather.

With just 13,000 residents, Gulfport is a small beach town with a funky artistic vibe. The Casino Ballroom offers ballroom dancing on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. On Wednesday there’s swing dancing. There are many local artists within the community and year-round the community hosts regular Art Walks where artists display their creations in front of their interesting and unique stores. You’ll find festivals, boutiques, and award-winning restaurants within Gulfport. If you want, you can dock your boat for a day or evening on the Boca Ciega Bay and take in the local culture.

Fun-filled days lead to good nights of sleep. You’ll rest well in your master bedroom with its queen-sized bed. As the ceiling fan stirs the air-conditioned air, you can watch some late-night TV on the set resting on the chest of drawers. Before you know it, you’ll be sound asleep.

The second bedroom includes a trundle that makes out into two twin beds. Guests staying in this room have a door leading out to the patio. It’s fun to slip outside and enjoy the night air before turning in for the night.

Both bedrooms share the bathroom that offers a shower/tub combination and vanity with mirror. There’s also a laundry room within Starfish Cottage so you can keep your group in clean clothes throughout your stay.

Starfish Cottage is a charming place to spend your beach vacation. You’ll love the inviting small-town atmosphere that’s rare in today’s fast-paced world. Book your stay at Starfish Cottage today!

Reviews for Starfish Cottage
The Gulfport Vacation 2013
The property was wierd because they have a house right in the back yard with a window boarded up. There were no curtins in the kitchen, which faced the house in the back and there was a person working on the house at night. No curtins in the bathroom either. The beds were kinda of lumpy and there was a need for more pillows. the furniture seemed old and in some instances stained. We ended up using the pull out couch, which I seemed to think had not been used for a long time. We used sheets from my parents for the pull out. My guest did not fit in the back room bed, again with no curtins. The back yard had a fence and a dog out there, we did not venture in the back at all. We parked in front of the house. Overall it was an okay stay.

Starfish review
We had a great stay at the starfish cottage! We lived there for a month while waiting to close on a house in town and we felt right at home. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a long term stay in town.
