Description for Tara's Haven
The pink sands, gentle waves, and vast blue sky of Ponte Vedra Beach are all yours at Tara’s Haven, our big beachfront house right on the dunes. Revel in gorgeous views and luxurious accommodations

Tara’s Haven overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in northeastern Florida, a strip of coastline uncrowded by tourists and teeming with marine life, from dolphins to whales (in season). The sun rises majestically over the horizon here, looking almost close enough to touch and beautifully coloring the morning clouds all shades of pink and purple. Pelicans fly the past, terns and gulls call, and the breeze is balmy with a hint of salt.

You can enjoy all this from the oceanfront deck at the house. Filled with casual outdoor furniture, it’s a great place to relax at any time of night or day. The lull of the surf is so peaceful, and the view is ever-changing. Bring a book or your computer out here (your free WiFi at Tara’s Haven works on the porch, too!) and lose yourself in the calm beauty. This is what beachfront living is all about!

When it’s time to go indoors, you’ll be delighted by how spacious, well furnished, and comfortable the house is. It’s new and very nice without being stiff or formal – the perfect combination to keep everyone in your group at ease and having fun! The design is open-plan, so the great room segues into the dining area and the kitchen. This is great during mealtime prep so that even the cooks can feel as though they’re part of the action . . . and can enjoy the ocean view from any point!

One area of the living room offers ultra-comfy couches (one of which unfolds into a bed for 2, giving some lucky folks a front-row seat for the sunrise each morning!) surrounding a big TV with cable and DVD player. Another is a conversation grouping near the oceanfront windows, perfect for intimate conversations or marine-life viewing through the big telescope. A third is a game table in a sun-drenched corner with breathtaking ocean views, just right for that jigsaw puzzle or Parcheesi tournament. Everyone can find their ideal spot and indulge in their favorite pastimes while staying with the whole gang!

In still another part of the great room is the long wooden dining table, big enough for your whole group. Whether you’re preparing homemade feasts, getting restaurant takeout, or doing a little of everything this vacation, you’ll find that this table quickly becomes your command center. And with comfortably padded chairs, it’s a great place to linger long after the dishes are cleared, playing Old Maid with the whole family or poker for pennies.

The kitchen is adjacent to the dining area, a bright and cheerful space fully equipped with all the cookware, dishes, utensils, and appliances (large and small!) you could wish for. All it needs is a grocery run on your way into town!

There are four bedrooms at Tara’s Haven, each designed to deliver a great night’s sleep. The master is the most illustrious, with a king-sized bed, spectacular ocean views, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bath. Oh, the bliss of retiring to your niche by the sea each night!

Each of the other three bedrooms contains two twin beds, one with a flat-screen TV and all beautifully furnished. All of the linens, pillows, blankets, and towel sets for the bedrooms and bathrooms are provided for you here. And you are welcome to use the washer and dryer at Tara’s Haven whenever you like to keep everything fresh. (You’ll go through a lot of towels at the beach!)

Tara’s Haven has everything you need for a wonderful vacation

Reviews for Tara's Haven
So so
This is the first time I have rented from Vacation Rental Pros. Customer Service was great and very helpful when making arrangements. This made me hopeful for our experience with the house. When we arrived, they were STILL CLEANING. They said they needed an additional 30 minutes. We had a scheduled dinner with family and the timing was NOT ideal especially when we even arrived 45 min after check-in time. We made the best of it and went to the local Publix to pick up groceries while we waited. Once we got back from dinner, we noticed that we had ANTS crawling on the food that was just purchased! So needless to say EVERYTHING went into the fridge for the week. Also later on that evening there was a roach found crawling on the staircase. Bugs seemed to be a common theme with VERY large ants all over the back porch so we were unable to really enjoy the beautiful view sitting out there. Also on the walkway to the beach, the foliage seems to be overgrown apparently making it a stomping ground for ticks. My husband found 2 on himself and 1 on the dog. The house generally is nice, but it does not have a 'home' feeling to it. A lot of the décor just seemed to be thrown together. The bedrooms were fine but the master bed is SUPER noisy and hard. There is also quite a bit of rust around which makes it impossible to close the storage doors in the parking area and it seems like the chairs and toys need to be replaced (along with the grill). I do not think I would come back to this property unfortunately.
Serenata Beach Club was beautiful as expected. The pools are well kept and food is spectacular!

Perfect Family, Perfect Place
For my husband and I, sharing experience with our children and grandchildren was the most valuable Christmas present to them that we could think of so this trip had been planned and anticipated for months.
The location of the house was perfect. The beach was only steps away and never crowded. The size and floorplan of the house was perfect. Each bedroom had a big window facing the ocean that we opened for the sea breeze and sound of the waves. Some windows were rusty and wouldn't open and none of them had screens so it was a good thing that no bugs had come out early in the season. The family, dining, kitchen area was plenty big enough for all ten of us with a big game table for puzzles. We played the sound system for music but never tried out the televisions. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, and cooking pots so we made most of our meals there. Most glasses needed washing before use, but we could have been the first rental of the season and the sea air did the same thing to the windshield of my car in a few hours.
The only complaint we had is a toilet that kept running the whole time. Maintenance was called and came to fix it but whatever was done didn't work. The sound of it all night and the wasted water were irritating but not upsetting.
All told, the place was great and we would go back again.

Our stay was great.
If I had one criticism it would be for the barbecue equipment. You need new grills.

Wonderful vacation and I look forward to staying again next year
Walked in and the place looked great. There was one hick up though and that was the WiFi was down. Big issue since I have to work while on vacation. Not happy at all and was unable to attend to my clients. However the management company stepped up. They invited me to their office, set me up a cubical and I was able to attend to business. The owners authorized a complete new Wifi system and new cables were put in etc. I was back in business and able to relax. There were fishing rods there and with a few minutes of repair they were ready to go. My son and I had a blast catching Whiting off the beach and they were delicious. The girls enjoyed the deck for sunning and the beach was beautiful. Location was perfect. Short drive to St Augustine and all the wonderful restaurants and shops. Also a short drive to some of the best hiking and biking trails around. Some guests mentioned the decorations a bit dated and yes they are, but seriously, who cares it was clean and very nice. Get over it. :) I highly recommend this property.
